Bread of Eastern European origin

Challah is braided bread typically eaten on ceremonial occasions and major Jewish holidays. While I’m not Jewish, I have something to celebrate and since I have not yet baked challah bread, I thought this would be a good time to try my hand at it.


Some people add raisins, poppy or sesame seeds, but I decided to sprinkle some almonds instead.
