Sugar overload

Viennese melt-in-the-mouth cookies filled with homemade raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream. Because they're melt-in-the-mouth, they were very fragile and delicate. I broke two cookies while assembling them.


This is a Mary Berry recipe. In the Masterclass episodes I thought her cakes, pies and biscuits were beautifully made and decorated but looked awfully sweet as she would add sugar to the batter, filling, and decorations. Well, these cookies are very sweet and not for me....even though I have a sweet tooth. Surprisingly several friends said they’d love it - the sweeter the better.
