Whiskey and chocolate

When my friend Nick B sent me the Woodford Reserve double oaked chocolate chip cookie recipe, I knew I had to try it out. Except I didn’t have a bottle of the bourbon whiskey so I used what I got - a rye whiskey with dark cherry, blood orange, and house-made bitters by Crater Lake, that has won several awards.
