Biscuit and apple butter

I’ve never made apple butter before today and had always thought apple butter had butter in it. Why don’t we call this apple jam instead? Twelve apples (4lbs) and 15 hours in the crock pot later, I had delicious apple butter. I made buttermilk biscuits this morning and paired it with the apple butter. It wasn’t my typical breakfast, and it was delicious.
