My first chiffon

I’m beyond thrilled that my first attempt at this chocolate chiffon cake turned out great. I was happy the cake rose, and did not rise then sink (which can happen if you forget to invert the cake once it’s baked). I‘m against buying all sorts of kitchen gadgets but I think I’m going to have to invest in an electric hand whip. Whipping the egg whites and sugar by hand almost killed my arms. Let’s just say I had a good arm workout. The outcome though was an airy, light, and tasty sponge. Simply lovely especially with a cup of tea.
