An engagement

My friend Nick hosted another BBQ get-together on Friday, and asked that I make a special cake as our friends Tony and Kiersten recently got engaged. This entire week we are undergoing a heat wave in the area so the last thing I want to do is bake. I went through my recipes and settled on a cake that did not require using the oven - a banana ice cream cake with blueberry compote. It is the perfect summer cake and was also well received by the crew.
