Brings back memories

When I first arrived in Vancouver, Canada for college, I rented a room from a family. Food was included in the rent, which was great, as I had no clue how to cook - I’m still a terrible cook. I wasn’t accustomed to the food though and did not enjoy most of it, except for the Shepherd’s pie my landlady made. It tasted amazing. That was my first time having Shepherd’s pie.


I decided I’d try making it but as I was exploring recipes, learned that if I wanted to use ground beef instead of ground lamb, then it’s Cottage pie, not, Shepherd’s pie. So this is my Cottage pie with a little modification - the addition of chili flakes and Tabasco sauce in the beef.
