You can’t go wrong with chocolate and whiskey, especially a cake that relies on whipped egg whites for a mousse-like melt-in-your-mouth experience. I did not have bourbon so I used whiskey instead. I love this cake and might make this for the next party I’m invited to.
PS: I decided to make some raspberry coulis to accompany the cake.
